Baseball is one of the most affected sports by the blockade of Cuba maintained by the United States for more than 50 years, Cuban former baseball star Rey Vicente Anglada asserted today in this capital.
‘The blockade has affected us in a great extent and continues to do so,’ said the extraordinary second base for the teams Cuba and Havana Industriales during the announcement in this capital of a walk race to denounce that hostile policy against the Cuban people.
That sports event that will be held throughout the country on September 9, will mark the beginning of the 2017 international campaign against the blockade, with actions in and out of Cuba, in rejection of that retrograde policy that has been condemned by the United Nations (UN) General Assembly for the last 25 consecutive years.
