The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Treaty of Peoples” Trade (Alba-TCP) demanded international condemnation of the use of violence as a political weapon to overthrow legitimate and democratically elected governments.
The regional organization called on the world against this method of force in a special communiqué to strongly condemn the terrorist attack carried out the day before against the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior, Justice and Peace and the Supreme Court of Justice in Caracas.
In the text, member countries repudiated the burst of gun-fires and grenades that government institutions suffered from a helicopter and expressed alarm over the misrepresentation that international media made of the serious incident.
OposittIn addition, they expressed concern about the accomplice silence of countries that say they are concerned about the situation in Venezuela and the fight against terrorism in general.
Alba-TCP urged the international community to emphatically reject these terrorist actions in the South American country and also reiterated the call for a constructive and respectful dialogue in Venezuela for the peace and stability of that nation and the security of its people.
Alba-TCP is a political, economic and social alliance comprising Venezuela, Cuba, Bolivia, Nicaragua, the Commonwealth of Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, Ecuador, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Granada.
Its most important precept is the defense of independence, self-determination and the identity of the peoples that it comprises.
